What is microfibre leather and why is it used for upholstered seating?

Microfibre leather is a high-performance synthetic material composed of ultra-fine polyester and polyurethane fibres, engineered to replicate the surface grain, softness, and drape of genuine leather. It is used for seating because it offers superior abrasion resistance (typically 50,000+ Martindale rub cycles), easy surface cleaning, consistent colour across large production batches, and excellent resistance to cracking or peeling over time — making it especially suitable for hospitality and high-use residential environments.

Can I choose a custom upholstery colour that is not in your standard range?

Yes. We accept custom Pantone or RAL colour references for the microfibre leather. Custom colour matching typically applies to orders of 10 pieces or more and may add 3–5 business days to the standard lead time. For single-piece orders, we recommend selecting from our 25+ in-stock colours.

What base profiles (shapes) are available for the steel base?

We offer three standard base geometries: four-point tapered or tubular leg, sled base (a continuous arc running front-to-back on each side), and disc base (a single central platform). All three profiles are available in all five standard plating finishes.

Is an arm configuration available, or is this an armless sofa only?

Both options are available. The sofa can be manufactured armless for a cleaner, more compact silhouette, with a fixed padded arm, or with a lower rolled arm. Each arm configuration affects the overall width, which we will confirm in the technical drawing prior to production.

What is the lead time from order confirmation to dispatch?

Standard lead time is 25–35 business days after written order confirmation and deposit receipt. This covers frame construction, foam fabrication, upholstery application, base electroplating, assembly, quality inspection, and export packaging. For large batches (50+ pieces) or fully non-standard specifications, lead time is confirmed individually at quotation.

Can I request a sample before placing a full order?

Yes. We can produce a sample piece — or a material and finish sample board — prior to full order commitment. Sample lead time is typically 15–20 business days. How does the HR foam filling compare to standard foam?

High-resilience (HR) foam is produced with a more open-cell structure than standard polyurethane foam, which allows it to compress under load and return to its original shape more reliably. At 40–45 kg/m³ density with an ILD of 28–35, our standard HR foam specification delivers a seat that feels supportive without being hard — and maintains that feel after years of daily use. Standard foam compresses permanently over time; HR foam does not.

What electroplated stainless steel base finishes are available?

Standard finish options are mirror polish, brushed gold, brushed silver, rose gold, and matte black. Custom plating finishes — including specific satin tones or custom PVD colours — are available for orders meeting a minimum batch size. Our production team can advise on feasibility and cost for non-standard finishes.

Can the seat height and back height be customised?

Yes. Seat height from floor can be adjusted between 38 and 45 cm depending on the base profile selected. Back height above the seat can be set at low (approx. 30 cm), mid (approx. 45 cm), or high (approx. 60 cm) — or any intermediate dimension. All modifications are confirmed in the production drawing before manufacturing begins.

What is the minimum order quantity?

MOQ is 1 piece. There is no minimum quantity requirement for standard colours and dimensions. Custom colour specifications may have a minimum batch of 10 pieces; custom plating finishes for the steel base may carry a separate minimum — our team will advise at the quotation stage.

How is the sofa packaged for international shipping?

Each sofa is individually foam-wrapped with corner protection, placed in a reinforced export carton, and loaded onto a wooden pallet for container shipping. The packaging is designed to protect both the upholstered surface and the electroplated base finish during sea freight. We can arrange FOB Shanghai or CIF to your destination port.

Is this sofa suitable for commercial use in hotels or restaurants?

Yes.
