Product Overview
Stone Selected by Hand, Fabricated to Measure, Built to Last a Lifetime
The JL&C Custom Marble Dining Table begins with the slab. Every top is cut from a marble block that has been individually reviewed by our production team for surface uniformity, vein depth, tonal character and structural soundness before it reaches the cutting stage. This selection process cannot be shortcut: natural marble varies slab by slab, and the visual outcome of the finished tabletop depends entirely on the quality of the material chosen at the outset. For multi-table projects — hotel restaurant sets, matched villa dining suites — slabs are sourced from the same quarry run to maintain tonal and vein coherence across all pieces.
Once the slab is confirmed, the top is cut to the client’s exact dimensions — length, width, thickness and shape — and the edge profile is machined in-house to the specified detail. Surface finishing is applied by our stone workshop: polished to a high-gloss clarity that maximises vein colour depth, honed to a flat matte that reduces reflectivity and softens the overall tone, or leathered to a tactile texture that reads differently under different lighting conditions. All marble tops are factory-sealed with a professional-grade penetrating sealer prior to packaging, providing effective protection against the staining agents most relevant to dining use — wine, oil, coffee and acidic food residue.
The base is designed and fabricated to carry the precise span and weight of the confirmed top. Metal base profiles — pedestal, four-leg, trestle, wishbone and custom — are fabricated from solid steel tube or cast components, welded, ground and finished in-house. Hardwood base options are machined and finished in the same facility. The standard dining height of 75–78 cm is maintained across all base configurations relative to the confirmed top thickness, ensuring ergonomic consistency regardless of how the material combination is specified. Every table is assembled, inspected and measured against the confirmed specification before packaging.
Slab-Assessed Natural Marble Top
Each marble slab is individually evaluated for vein pattern, surface soundness and tonal consistency before cutting — a step that directly determines the visual quality of the finished tabletop.
Factory-Sealed Dining Surface
All marble tops are sealed with a penetrating professional-grade stone sealer before dispatch — protecting against wine, oil, coffee and food acids without altering the stone's natural vein colour or surface character.
In-House Edge Profiling
Straight, eased, bevelled, half-bullnose or waterfall edge profiles — all machined directly on the marble slab in our own stone workshop, with no applied edge strips or secondary materials.
Any Dimension, Any Shape
Rectangular, round, oval, square or racetrack — all shapes and all dimensions are produced to the client's specification. Standard seating capacities from 4 to 14+ are accommodated without catalogue restriction.
Structural Metal or Hardwood Base
Base fabricated to carry the full span and weight of the specified top — solid steel for metal configurations, kiln-dried hardwood for wood bases — without flex, creak or structural movement under load.
Reinforced Stone Freight Packaging
Marble tops are foam-wrapped, corner-protected and crated in reinforced timber cases — palletised for safe long-distance international freight delivery with no reported in-transit surface damage.
