The JL&C Custom Home Office Desk is built from three materials \u2014 each selected for a distinct functional and visual role \u2014 that work together as a single, cohesive object rather than an assembled collection of components.<\/p>

The tabletop and body panels are produced from Nice wood baked lacquer board: an engineered wood substrate coated in multiple layers of purpose-formulated lacquer, cured at high temperature in a baking oven. The baking process hardens the lacquer to a surface density that resists scratching from daily desk objects, repels moisture, and maintains its finish quality under years of intensive use \u2014 in either high-gloss or matte, across a full palette of colours from crisp white to deep charcoal.<\/p>

The front and side vertical elevations \u2014 the surfaces visible from across the room \u2014 are covered in microfibre hard wrap: a rigid panel finished with a firm microfibre leather skin. This is not soft upholstery. It is a structured, architectural surface that reads as a refined material choice, adding tactile depth and visual warmth to the desk’s front face without any compression or softness at the surface. Over twenty colour options are available, allowing the wrap tone to coordinate with or contrast against the lacquer tabletop above.<\/p>

The structural frame \u2014 legs and cross-members \u2014 is fabricated from stainless steel and electroplated in our own Shanghai workshop in your choice of brushed gold, brushed silver, matte black or satin chrome. Every panel-to-frame connection is machined to precision tolerances, so there are no visible gaps, misaligned edges or finish inconsistencies at the points where materials meet.
