The JL&C Custom Fabric Sofa begins where all long-lasting upholstered seating must begin — with a frame that will not flex, squeak or degrade over years of regular use. The solid wood structural frame forms the core of every piece, kiln-dried and jointed with precision to eliminate the movement and noise that lower-grade frames develop over time. Around this frame, beech wood armrests are shaped and smoothed to deliver both structural rigidity and a warm, tactile surface presence that complements the surrounding upholstery.
Beneath the seat and back cushions, a stainless steel spring suspension layer provides the foundation for the seating experience — distributing weight evenly across the frame, maintaining cushion loft and ensuring the sofa retains its profile under daily use. Over this suspension, high-resilience foam is precision-cut and layered to deliver a sitting surface that is firm enough to support posture and soft enough to maintain comfort across extended periods of use. This is not the foam that collapses within a year — it is the grade used in hotel lobbies and premium residential projects designed for heavy, long-term traffic.
The exterior upholstery — available in over 30 premium fabric options across a full curated colour palette — is cut, wrapped and hand-stitched at JL&C’s Shanghai production facility. Every seam line, every corner finish and every panel edge is reviewed against our internal quality standards before the piece leaves the floor.
